Fans of the 2012 hit comedy movie “Pitch Perfect” would be thrilled to know that the sequel wrapped filming last Friday. To celebrate this moment, the stars added photos and tweets from the set. “I’m gunna miss you when you’re gone x”, referring to the well-known “Cup Song”, originally performed by co-star, Anna Kendrick. The second photo poster by Wilson shows her and the “Barden Bellas”, as the vocal group was called in the movie, in pyjamas, with the following caption: “And that’s a wrap for Pitch Perfect 2!!!! X love these ladies!!!”
Anna Kendrick also posted a photo on her Instagram account, showing the female cast members having a pillow fight in their pyjamas. She and Hailee Steinfeld still have a couple of scenes to shoot, but it will not take more than one week. Steinfeld wrote: “And then there were two… #TwoLittleSoldiers #OneMoreWeek” as a caption to her photo with Kendrick. In January 2013 the “Cup Song” the song debuted at number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100, and after 32 weeks, it reached number 6. All versions of the song had sold about 2.5 million downloads in the United States alone. It also caused a real musical phenomenon on Youtube, with fans posting their own covers of the song, using a red solo cup.
The movie will feature the Bellas in their Senior Year at Barden University, welcoming new members into their singing group. Elizabeth Banks, who plays Gail, commented: “All I can say right now is that they will be graduating seniors this time around, rather than incoming freshmen.” A capella group Pentatonix will join the cast, after fans urged the producers to include them into the blockbuster. They have performed at the “Pitch Perfect” premiere back in 2012.

Fans will have to wait until May 2015 for the release of the “Pitch Perfect 2” movie.
