Kim Il Sung wanted to live 100 years

Former North Korean founder, Kim Il Sung had requested that his doctors come up with a method to ensure he would live to 100. During his lifetime, Kim Il Sung had undergone various treatments to make sure he remained healthy. Some of these methods were quite sinister and peculiar. This piece of news was released years after his death. Kim Il Sung’s former personal doctor for many years, Kim So-Yeon recently released the information. Kim So-Yeon defected to South Korea in 1992, after years of conducting research at a so-called “longevity center”, set up in order to find a miracle method for Kim Il Sung’s quest for longevity.

Kim So-Yeon’s team worked on numerous methods meant to prolong the life of the former leader. However, their efforts did not pay off. Kim Il Sung died at the age of 82. Nonetheless, he lived more than 64, which is the life expectancy for North Korea. Kim So-Yeon declared: “We did a lot of research. But we only gave him the treatments he had chosen from our list of options”. The doctor said that one of the leader’s favorite methods was blood transfusion. He would use blood from young people, in their early twenties. The lucky ones who were selected to donate blood to their leader were fed nutritious food for a few days before being submitted to the blood donation. Kim So-Yeon said: “He wanted to rule as long as he could. I think he wanted to live a long life for his own satisfaction”. Another method Kim Il Sung enjoyed was watching young children play and do funny activities. He would laugh and have a good time watching them. The longevity center believed happiness contributed to good health, so laughter was prescribed to Kim Il Sung.

Kim Jong Un has been compared to his grandfather Kim Il Sung on repeated occasions. The current leader of North Korea is believed to have health problems. The doctor believes Kim Il Sung’s nephew suffers from stress, which causes him serious health problems. Kim Jong Un has recently been seen walking with a cane. There were speculations about his possible health problems. Some said he suffered from diabetes, gout and even obesity. Kim So-Yeon believes Kim Jong Un might have inherited some health problems from his family line. The health problems mentioned are diabetes, heart problems, obesity and even psychological issues. She said that both Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un’s father suffered from diabetes, heart disease and were exposed to a great deal of stress. She also added that she believes Kim Jong Un‘s health problems might be more severe than his father’s and grandfather’s were.
