Google Inbox Supports Android Wear

Google Inbox is Google’s attempt at streamlining the whole email thing which, so far, has been available to people on an invitation only basis over the past couple of months. Since Google has offered several rounds of invitations, there’s probably a good chance that you’re one of the Google Inbox users who also sports a smart watch that is running Android Wear. To those people I say, good news everyone! In the most recent update, Google Inbox is now primed and ready for its debut on Android Wear.

This new version of Google Inbox that now plays nice with Android wear will allow users to finally access their email all from the familiarity and comfort of their own wrist. And you won’t just be reading email snippets either. No siree, you’ll actually be able to read entire messages and have limited email functionality as marking them as “done.” You will also have the option of replying using your own voice  while on the go. (So hopefully you don’t aren’t winded running around when replying to your messages.) Google will also try to read your mind by making suggestions to ideally assist in the streamlined creation of Reminders. So where can you get your hands (or, uh, your wrist) on this newest Google Inbox update? You can download it via the Google Play Store.

This has been an exciting month chock full of neat new updates for people sporting wearables that run on Android Wear. In case you missed it, earlier this month Google finally announced the release of the Android Wear Watch Face API. The Watch Face API has long been on at the top of Android Wear users’ wishlist. Why? Well, the release of the Watch Face API will now allow for customizable watch faces so that in true Google and Android fashion, everyone can have their own unique look to their smart watches. I don’t know about you, but I am curious to see how easy and effective it will be to have Google Inbox and email functionality on your wrist.
