The image of a man dressed in an orange clad, kneeling in front of his soon-to-be executioner has been strongly imprinted in the minds of people, all over the world. ISIS managed to shock nations worldwide by sending video messages, in which they accuse the Western world for bringing this punishment upon themselves, and soon after that they remorselessly execute their prisoners. To date, ISIS has released three videos which show, in gruesome detail the executions of James Foley, Steven Sotloff, and David Haines.
Few people may have imagined that these cruel executions would quickly inspire others to use the same imagery, in order to promote parties. A group of homosexual Israeli party organizers have done just this, in order to advertise their upcoming event. The name of the gay-themed party is “Drekistan at the Haoman” and they show a man holding down another man, dressed in an orange clad. As expected, the group has received numerous comments on Facebook, most of which were not expressed in an appreciative tone. However, the party organizers defended themselves by saying the following: “Our way to express our contempt and our criticism about things that happen in reality… is a satire and humor… In our opinion, humor takes the edge off harmful, threatening issues”. Many would say that it is not the right time to mock such tragic events. Such dramatic and shocking acts should not be ridiculed, nor should they inspire themes for advertisement. Nonetheless, the group definitely managed to cause a fuss and their event was indeed noticed.

On the 18th of September, ISIS has released yet another video, showing captured journalist John Cantlie. He was captured by the Islamic State in October 2012 and has been a prisoner ever since. In the video, he mentions a few well-known publications he used to work for and declares that his government has abandoned him. Also he claims the western media has a habit of distorting the truth. Further on, he says there will be future videos posted, in which the truth will be revealed, regarding the reasons why the Western nations fear going to war with the Middle East.
